Having studied Philosophy and Art History at Sorbonne University, Judith Souriau has a strong background in theory that she applies to the active art scene. Ever since she was a teenager, Judith spent her time exploring art galleries in Paris, London and New York, she promptly became aware of contemporary culture.
Judith has been writing for Les Cahiers du Musée national d'art moderne (Centre Pompidou quarterly journal), Art Press (France) and Canvas (Dubai) as an art critic for nearly 10 years. She also assisted curators like Laurent Le Bon at the Centre Pompidou and curated exhibitions in New York and Stockholm. Judith launched Untitled Consulting in 2015 after she was asked to curate art fairs, VIP programs and to advise private collectors.
Paris has an incredible wealth of museums, stunning architecture and art galleries. Some stand behind closed doors, but once you know the addresses (and learn how not to get lost !) it is always a pleasure to stroll around Saint-Germain-des-Prés or Le Marais. Stay tuned as there are openings, artist meetings and informal drinks almost every week !
Gallery tours are given privately or in small groups. We usually target one neighborhood and visit 4-5 galleries suiting visitors’ taste ; or I call artist friends who luckily open their studios for us. It’s all about opening doors people would not have pushed, explaining the idea behind the work and sharing fuel for thought. I love when clients fall for an artist I introduced them to!
